Cathy Hegman is a distinguished contemporary figurative artist hailing from Mississippi, renowned for her captivating and emotionally charged paintings. With over 36 years of experience as a full-time artist, Cathy has established herself as a prominent figure in the art world. Her expertise has led her to teach workshops and write for numerous national art publications, cementing her status as an authority on her craft. Cathy has exhibited her work in solo exhibitions for over a decade, showcasing her talent and creative vision to audiences across the country. She has also gained recognition on an international level, having been included in numerous exhibitions and receiving awards in the United States, Brazil, and England. Cathy's accomplishments in the art world include achieving Signature membership and Dolphin Fellowship in the American Watercolor Society, Mississippi Watercolor Society, Signature membership in the Missouri Watercolor Society, and Signature membership in the National Watercolor Society, Society of Animal Artists, Southern Watercolor Society, and most recently Signature membership in the International Society of Acrylic Painters. She is also a proud vice president of the Mississippi Art Colony and a member of the American Women Artists. Cathy's work is a testament to her passion for painting and her commitment to pushing the boundaries of her artistic expression.
